The'Board of County Conmiis-i saoners was inse^sic®ondßJ’ ail J ' T’ Tuesday, the principal business -befog tee make the regular August settlement with the Township Trustees. The contract for building the new iron bridge, over the Pinkamink, north of Pleasant Ridge, , was given to the Wrought-Iron Bridge Conipanv, of Canton. Ohio. The contract price is $l,lBO and the bridge to be completed by Oct. .Ist John L. Nichols is the agent ~of the board to look after the construction of the work. Six bridge Ooni{>anies conqieted for the contract. Substructure and superstructure are to be of iron. Provisional contracts were given to the same company for the super- . structures of two bridges ii) Carpenter township. One near the residence of Geo. Welch, for $348; the other on the Good land road, between the farms of Treat Du- , 'rand and C. G. Austin, for $235. The contracts are not to be executed unless the building of the substructures can be secured on favorable terms; and Carpenter tp. is to pay $75 of the cost of each > bridge. The foundation . and fire-proof vault to be built by James Maloy for $335. E. L. Clark is appointed Superintendent of the erection of the building. It will stand in the rear of the court house.
