Editor Republican:—Ab it has been my lot to travel all over the Southern part of Jasper and New-; toil counties and Northern part of Benton, I have kept eyes and ears open to the political whisperings of the people. I was very much pleased at the friendly feeling manifested toward my native county, Jasper, in regard to our district nominations. They all seeni to • take it for granted that I. D. Dunn is to go lmck as our Representative and I was . equally well pleased at the great number of men anxious to support “Our Simon.” This speaks well for our county and also shows remarkably good feeling in the party in Benton and

Newton counties.
