A Card.

In view of the fact that a large number ot friends of Benton Jasper and Newton connties have persistently urged me. Ip permit my name to boused as a candidate for State Senator. 1 think it a duty td thus publicly define my position. 1 am not a candidate, but should the delegates to the Senaxorial convention place my name on the ticket 1 will feel it my duty to accept and will use my best efforts for the success of the cause.
