A. "Larse and Enthusiastic" Gathering.
Another “Large and Enthusiastic” Democratic convention was Held in the Court House last Saturday afternoon. The convention had been well advertised, and that, with the help of a long and fervent ringing of the bell, at last drew together the immense number of seven Democrats, no more and no less. Ihe names of these faithful ones deserve to be recorded; one of them, however,, was a stranger, whose name we have been unable to learn, the other six were Mrssrs. McEwen, Fisher, bparling, Douthit, Shield- and “Turkey Joe” Sharp. Upon these seven devolved the duty of electing twentydelegates to represent Marion township at the Democratic county convention, 6f next Saturday. Had they confined themselves only to those present in selecting these delegates, each of the gentlemen whose names we have given might have been three delegates and two left for the stranger from the country.
