A Dangerous Lunatic.
Last Friday morning a strange acting man walked unbidden into J'red Lang’s house, at Surrey, and when Mr. Lang endeavered to lead him out he flourished a big revolver. Later in the day be came across the country to the Rensselaer depot, and there was taken in charge by Sheriff Yeoman, and taken to the jail for safe keeping. On investigation it was found that his name was Winehart, that his home Was in Lafayette, and that very recently he had been dischargeopts cured, from the Insane Asylum, at Indianapolis. After being discharged from the Asylum he returned to Lafayette and after beating his wife nearly to death, disappeared, and was not heard from again until he turned up at Mr. Lang’s place, at Surrey. Mr. Yeoman tdok him to Lafayette Saturday, and turned him over td the chief pf police, of that city. When he wats examined in the jtil here lie was found to bearmed with a big Colt’s revolver, and a long sharp;knife. He is evidently a very dangerous man to be at large, and it is only a matter of good luck that he did not kill some on&.bpfore he was captured. Remember we are selling millinery as cheap as the cheapest, having a first class milliner in oiir employ, a well lighted and store, and all the conveniences we will treat you right.
