MEMORIAL DAY.
Monday, May 31st, is Memorial Day. Its observances at RenssClear, this year, will be conducted under the auspices of Post No. 84, ft. A. K. Invitations have been extended to the several benevolent societies, public schools 5 and the citizens of Jaspe>r awl adjoining counties, to participate in the ceremonies of that day. At ope o’clock p. m. t a procession will be formed at the public square, under the direction of Capt. M. F. Chilcote, Marshal, and proceed to Weston Cemetery. The details of forming the procession, order of march, etc., are left to the direction of the Marshal. At tbe cemetery the annexed programme will be observed: Appointed service of the Grand of the Republic. .Scattering flowers upon the graves of Sbldiers by children. Military burial salute. Short Address by Hon, E. P Hammond. The following named ladies are requested by the ft. A. R. Post, to act in capacity of a committee to procure flowers for this occasion: Madames. F. J. Sears, J. W. Williams, L. A. Moss, W. Stockton, M. E. Hopkins, M. L. Spitler, L. J. McCoy; Wm. Rinehart, Jas. T. Randle, Geo. Dexter, Healy, H. Porter, H. E. James, ft. E. Marshall, W. B. Austin, Hopkins, E. L. Clark, TaL Seib, J. B. Washburn, William Hoover, Peter Rhoades, Norman Warner, Blue, Handley and Ferguson. The committee is empowered by the ft. A. R. Post to invite, in the name of the post, any aDd all assistance that may be desired. All floral tributes will be deposited with said committee, at the court house, by 11 o’clock, Monday forenoon, May 31st.
