The Dude and the Dog.
“Bless my soul, your dog is very ferocious toward me,” said a dude to a young lady whom he met on the street, and whose pug dog made a dash for the slim’s ankles. * “Juju is not very affiliating, dear little fellow,” she replied; and then the dude walked off scratching his ear and wondering if she meant what she said or had used a wrong word by mistake. —Califomm Maverick.
