Circuit Court Matters.

The principal business before the Circuit Court this week has been the case of Felix Lester vs. J. J J Eiglesbach to determine the ownership of a strip of land, abottt 13 feet wide, lying between the lots of the above parties, on Front street in Rensselaer. Eiglesbach gives up the land and Lester pays the costs. It is safe to say that the trial has cost the county several times the value of the property in con troversj. The trial of the slander suit of Brick vs. Hazlett, from Pulaski county, was begun Wednesday. Hon. J. C Nye, of Winamac and 8. P. Thompson are for the plaintiff, and Judges Spangler, of Winaamac, and Hammond, of Rensselaer, are for the defendant
