The Mathematical Philanthropist.
A French philanthropist and scientist at New York wishes to form a syndicate, with from $5,000 to SIOO,OOO capital, to “break the hank” at Monte Carlo. He is not a gambler, but he has made a life-long study of roulette, and insists that he can heat the game and win $3,500,000 in a year. If the syndicate is formed, he is to have a royalty of 25 per cent, for his services.
