During a collision at Waterford, Ireland, between citizens, and soldiers of the Welsh regiment, on garrison duty there, Peter Grant, a civilian, was bayoneted to death, whereupon a mob pursued the soldiers to the barracks, which they bombarded wuih stones. Straggling soldiers were attacked and roughly handled. Two privates are under arrest for the murder of Grint. The Welsh regiment, which his been transferred to another post, was escorted to the railway station by the police, and followed by a hooting multitude. The Government will be asked to order an inquiry into the affair, which grew out of the celebration of the anniversary of the battle of the 80yne.... There were 1,117 new oases of cholera reported in Spain on Sunday and 677 deaths. ! The cholera has broken out in four places in the Province of Jaen.
