About the Reunion.

The place for holding the Annual District Soldiers’ Reunion has been changed, from Monticello, the place selected a few weeks since. The people of Winamac and Pulaski county felt so much aggrieved because Winamac was not selected at the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association, that a second meeting was called, with the result that Winamac was substituted for Monticello, as the place for the Reunion. So far as the veterans of Jasper county are concerned, while Monticello was the more conveniently accessible of the two places, they, and the people of the county, generally, will, we are confident, be glad that the earnest wishes of .the people of Pulaski county, in this matter, have been gratified. {.The Reunion will be held AugUst 25, 26 and 27. The prospects for an immense reunion this year, are excellent, as a large proportion of the veterans of the counties composing the district are said to have signified their intention of attending. A very pleasant crowd of Rensselaer young folks composed of the following persons: Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Austin, Misses Lola Moss, Lizzie Purcupile, Gertie Robinson, Maty Yates, and Messrs. Chas. Warner, Robert Phillips and Chas. Spitler, paid our town a visit last Saturday evening, on a serenading expedition. They made our town fairly echo with their delightful strains of music. When Chas. Warner assumes an attitude on a gate post in front of a house he never fails to awaken our young ladies and bring them to the front every time. Thrice 'welcome friends, call again. We always; keep a supply on hand. — -Vohmi Dispatch.
