Good for Gillam's Graduates.

The Third Ahnuai Graduating. Ex6rcises d k Gillam tp., were held in Indepemlafece Chapel, last Fiiday evening. The names of eight young people were on the programme, six from Gillam, one from Barkley and one from Newton township. The last was not present The addresses and essays were all good and showed that the young people had been indnstriou3 in study and had obtained knowledge not usually possessed by those even of middle life. This was the third list of graduates of the township course, making seventeen in all. No other township in Jasper county can boast of as many. The citizens of Gillam township should be ‘ pround of their young people as they reflect honor upon them. They should not grudgingly pay out the money necessary to support the public schools, Sunday schools and churches of their respective neighborhoods. It is money well invested. Gillam posseses the only country church building in Jasper county. It furnished a list of twenty teachers in the public schools of the county. Its material interests are promising as its wheat, hay and corn crops now look well.
