OBITUARY.
GEORCE KANNAL.
('eorare Kanaal was born in ColumI “ biana county). O.iio, Mai'ch 13 th, 1813. He was the son of Joseph ana Elizabeth Kannal. His father, born August 25tln 1787, was a soldier in the war of 1812 and lived to the advanced age of 90 years. His mother, born February 3rd, 1793, died in 1860, aged 67 years. * He was the oldest ot eleven children, seven of whom survive him. His early life was spent on his father’s farm, in his native county. November Bth, 1835. ’ = daughter ot Alexander and Elizabeth McCoy. He was the father of three children, Malissa Ahn, who died May sth, 1844, Elizabeth who died October sth, 1873, aud Emmet stili living. He Was a farmer, and followed that occupation until 1855, when he engaged in business with Thomas McCoy in Nca Lisbon. Ohio. In 1866 he removed to J asper county. Indiana, and engaged in business with A. McCoy & Thompson, in Rensselaer. He was with them nnt’l 1875, when he retired to private life, and so remained until his death, June 10 th, 188ZL- JDL his character as a husband, a father, and a citizen, nothing need l o said, he was well known to the people. Hih death was very sudden and unexpected. In as, good health as usual performing his ordinary duties, hd died almost instantly, -without a warning and without a struggle.
