October 4, November O, December 9. Of 54 deaths, 24 were under 5 and 6 were over 70 years of age, Of the four still-births, there were males 1, females 3. * The largest number Of deaths by one disease was 6by Pneumonia Consumption caused the death of but 3, ope to every 4.000 of population of the county. A noteworthy feature is the small number of deaths caused by that disease. Iu 1882 there wore 3, 1883, 2, 1884. 3. They died in the following months: March 3, April 2, May 1, August 1, September 1. Males 2, females 6. The deaths during the past year, as reported, have been less than 5 to the 1,000 population. * The eerctary of the State BoarJ says the deaths are from 12 to 15 to 1,000 of the population in the state. I am certain tho deaths in the county, not reported, would not raise the number to nty)re than 7 to the 1.000, which would prove Jasper to be one of, if not the healttiiest county in the state. Of the “Diseases D angerous to Public Health.” such as Small Pox, Scarlet fever, Diptheria, Malignant Typhoid fever, &0., two cases only, were report ed, both of Diptheria. If there were other cases of any of those diseases in the county the past year, not reported by the physicians in attendance, or if there were no physicians called, then the householders are liable to prosecution for hot reporting the same to tidy office. The same is true of any unreported births and deaths. , c .The physicians registered with the County Clerk, and residing in Jasper county, are as follows: Rensselaer. —J. H. Lough rid F. P.
