j The indications seem to be favj orable for li very mild winter, — but we said about the same thing ! a year ago, at this time. j —«*- j We are glad to Idafn that the health of our yoyng friend, D. S. Willey, is improving in thd Sunny South. The new Holidaymdvertisement of Ellis A Murray, which looms up on this page, is a daisy) and no mistake. A self confessed murderer and Rn avowed horse thief now keep each other company in the Jasper comity jail. -We do not wish to be understood to be putting on metropolitan airs, on that account, however. —-- - - The suu rises later and later feVery morning, and sets earlier And earlier every evening and if this keeps on for a few months lcihger we will soon be left without afly daylight, ct all, worth men-, tidning.
There was a vefy large attendance at tlie Catholic Fair, last night, notwithstanding tile unfavorable char&pter of the Iveathei-, and much enjoyment manifested. The Fair continues this aEterndon and evening. It promises to be a decided success, financially.
