A Righteous Thumping.

At Logansport, Monday evening, the Rev. W. E. Loiicks, pastor of the first Presbyterian church, assaulted B. F: Louthain, editor of thfe Daily Pharos, knocking him down, the editor walking off upon regaining his feet. The Sunday before the election Mr. Loucks preached a semi-political sermon denouncing vice and immorality, and since that time the Pharos had published insinuations against the minister’s character, and thd ‘assault was the result. The affair has created a great sensatioti ill Logansport but sympathy is generally with the preaeher. ■ -W
