Religious Discussion.

There will be a discussion held in Rensselaer, commencing on Tuesday next, Nov. 18th, byll. W. Thompson, of the Regular Baptist church, of Russiaville, Ind., and D. T. Halstead, of the Church of God. To continue three days. Propositions: Ist.—The Scriptures teach that Eternal Life is the gift of God# independent of conditions to be performed -by man. Thompson affirms. 2nd.—The Scriptures teach that Man is Wholly Mortal, becomes entirely unconscious in death, and the entire man returns t# his original state or condition. Halstead affirms. 3rd.—The Scriptures teach that j all those once consecrated to j Christ—“ Demonstrated in Christ | Jesus— shall, in the end, receive! the reward promised the faithful. „ Thompson affirms. The discussion will be held at the Court House. Everybody invited.
