The Facts Brieffy Stated.
We are asked as to the facts of the charge* urgted against Mr. Cleveland personally. The charges were first printed in Uenrtreratic’ papers, and were: (1) That he seduced one Maria Halpin, and by her had an illegitimate child. That after the' birth of the child he hqji caused her to be confined iriKb Inssrffi sbylutn. (2) That while Mayor of Briffhfo be had been engaged in a disgraceful I'iglft in a bar room. (3) That since he has been Governor of New York he has visited' Buffalo, arid with three companions had spent the nijrht in a room with lewd women, drinking and carousing.
