The Chicago Expositton.

The 12th Consecutive, Annual'lnterState Exposition will be held in Chicago, September 3 to October 18, inclusive. Except, possibly, the old American Institute, the Chicago Industrial Exposition is, be believe, the only organization of its class which for a long series of years has held its exhibitions without intermission, or which has been unifdl-mily successful in the high character of its display or in financial results. Having only $173,000 from subscriptions to its capital stock in 1873, it has paid its current expenses, made all necessary Repairs and expended over six hiiudred thousand dollars on construction and personal property accounts, and is entirely oiut of debt to-day. The average aunual attendance of visitors paying admission is about 400,000 or 10,000 per day for forty days. No similar organization in America can show Any such record of well deserved success. Like the city of Chicago and the Northwest its progress has been without parallel. For the current year, we are informed, the applications for space have been even more numerous and urgent than ever before. The maipmoth building is full co Overflowing with novel and interesting exhibits in alj departments. No paths nor expense have been spared by the management to render the Exhibition attractive and useftilly educational.
