Sixtieth Anniversity.

Communicated. The Sixtieth Birthday Anniversary of Mr. A. O. Abbett, of Barkley totynship, was celebrated September 4tli, 1884, by the gathering in of all the living cfrilctren, and a number of relatives rind friends from the South part of the State, and neighbors. After singing a song and prayer by Rev. Brasket, and remarks by Rev. James T. Abbett, Mr. John Abbett, the oldest son of the recipient, made a presentation speech and presented many good and valuable presents, and a responce by Mr. Abbett, and then the asseriiVly partook of a grand and good repast; Spread by the hands of the ladies present; iila near by. The day was bright, th*-; surroundings beautiful, the repast glorious, and one and all departed hoping to gather many times again upon a repetition of this occasion. Of the guests from abroad were Mrs. J arie Rayne, Cold iff-” bus, Indiana, John W. Abbett and Mrs. NahCy Abbett, of Franklin, Ind.
