Presbyterian Notes.
The £al>bath school concert, previously announced, —was held at the Presbyterian church on Sabbath evching. The house was tilled with an attentive audience, that seemed to appreciate the exercises, which consisted in songs, recitations &e, that were all Very appropriate and well rehdereU. The ‘‘Child's Prayer", ih song, so effectively peered by Blanche Alter, was beautiful and seemfed tB touch the heart and awaken a devotional spirit in every person present. It is the expectation to make these concerts a more frequent feature of our Sabbath school work in future. If properly conducted and confined strictly to exercises appropriate to the time and place, they cannot fail to do good. • Bev. Small's next appointment will be on the first Sabbath of September. tp . There will be a Temperance meeting at the Sayler school house bn the evening of Tuesday, the IGth inst., for the purpose of organizing a AV. C. T. U.’ The order of exercises will be as follows: Devotional exercises by the president, speeches by Mrs. Dwiggins, Mrs. Healy, Miss Babcock, Mr. Webster, Mr. Halstead and others.
