Man Killed in Remington.
County Coroner; Sears 4 , went over to Remington, Stfndtfy evening, to hold an inquest oft the body of a man was killed there by the 3:45 p'.’m., freight tffiin, on the Pan Handle road, O’n that day. His hfime wfi's Geo/ge Meeharl. He was an employe of the railroad company, in their shops, at Loganrport, where he leaves,a youug wife. He had attempted to board the train before it came to a stop, and, missing his step, he fell between the cars. In falling he seems to have caught hold Of the couplings with his hands and retained his grasp until the tiain was brought to a full stop, being dragged a distance of at least a block. One leg was cut off at the thigh, and terribly the other was cut off at the ankle; th'6 foot te,maitiing at the depot, whete the accident Guttered; He' Was still alive when the train men took him from under the car, but expired in a few minutes, without speaking. No blame can be attached to any other person, except the unfortunate man himself, for the accident. The verdict of the Coroner’s jury was in accordance with the facts above stated.
