A Colored Camp-Meeting.
A band of colored workers, under the auspice? of the Christian Evangelist Association, will hold a Camp-Meetjng at the Rensselaer Fair Grounds, beginning Saturday, July 19th and continuing ten days. The Rev. Mat Henderson, the “boy preacher, of Texas, widely known throughout the South-west as an evangelist, will conduct the meeting. He will be assisted by Rev. Boswell and other eminent colored revivalists. On Saturday evening, July 19th, a consecration meeting will be held. On Sunday, July 20th, at 11 o’clock a. m., Revs. Boswell and Mat Henderson will preach. On Wednesday, the 23rd, at 7:30 p. m., a lecture by Mat Henderson entitled ‘ ‘Gitting Dar”. On Thursday, the 24th, Elder Boswell will deliver a sermon from the text, “Behold what man-, ner of love is this, that we should fee called the sons of Gvd”. On Friday evening, July 25th, the parable of the Ten Virgins will be by a grand march, a ter which the Rev. Boswell will deliver a discourse expounding the parable. On Sunday, the 27th, the parable of the Prodigal Son will be illustrated. The Fatted Calf will be killed and barbecued, and at 2:30 p. m., a sermon expounding the parable will be delivered by the Rev. Henderson. On Monday evening, July 28th, will close by a grand march representing the “Twelve Tribes crossing the Jordan”.
