N«>te. —We shall expect the Christian wocion at the county seats of these several counties to provide a place of meeting and entertainment for delegates who attend the conventions: arid make arrangements for the two days work in the county, so as to reach as riiany persons as possible, inviting their ministers and Sunday School superintendents, (for we must see the children) to annouuce the meetings, and the local press to publish programmes. A “Bachelor of Letters.” — The Detroit Post and Tribune of June 25th contains an extended account of the graduating exercises at Michigan University last week- Elmer Dwigging,.of Rensselaer, graduated from the department of Literature, Science and the Arts, and received tho degree of B. L., (Bachelor of Letters. ) Mr. Dwiggins was the class £oet and the Post and Tribune speaks in a very complimentary manner of his poem, and gives tin extract of several stanzas. TUe Soldiers' Reunion ...... Tlie executive committee ot ex-sol-dier's re-union of the district composed of the counties of Benton, Pulaski, Jasper, Newton. Carroll and White, met to Mcnticello. Friday, June 2}, pur-uant to call, With President R . D. Davidson in the chair. The object of the meeting was to designate time and place for holding the Sith annual re-union of the above ceshnties. , . —-ty The following counties were represented: Benton, Newton, Carroll and White. , . f On motion of Captain Warren the time for holding the re-union was lixed for September 23d, 24th and 25th. and place Monticello.
