CONSTITUTION.

And toy Lairs oflhe Blaine and Logan Republican Club. * CONSTITUTION. PREAMBLE. Believing that the .peace, happiness and prosperity Of the country In the future can be secured only through the success of the Republican party, we, the undersigned, make and ordain this Constitution. ARTICLE I. The name of this organization shall be the Blaine and Logan Club of Rensst liter. ARTICLE 11. The object of this organization shall be to promote, by all honorable means, the success of the Republican party. ARTICLE 111. All male persons over the age of 14 years shall be eligible as members hereof. article IV. The officers of this association skal* consist of a President, ice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and an Executive Committee of 3 members, and they shall hold their respective ohices for the period of one month. article V. Any person who i 3 a Republican in politics and over the age prescribed by Article Three of this Constitution, may, at any -regular meeting, become a member of this Association, by pledging himself for and use his influence in any and every honorable way fol* the best interests of the party. article VI. By-Laws not in_ conflict with thin Constitution may be adopted at any regular meeting, by a majority vote. BY-LAWS.

Sec. 1 It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all regular meetings of the club, sign all orders drawn on the Treasurer, and to perform such other duties as usually devolve upon a presiding officer. Sec. 2. The Vice President shall discharge the duties of president, in the absence of the latter, or whenever, for any reason, circumstances require him to do so. Sec 3 The Secretary shall keep ac* curate minutes of all meetings, shall collect all dues and turn them over to the Treasurer, taking the latter’s receipt therefor, and shall, when authorized by the club, or the executive committee, issue orders on the Treasurer, keeping an account thereof. See. 4. The Treasurer shall have charge of all funds of the club, and shall pay out the same only on the orders of the secretary when signed by the president. Sc. 5 Dues— Any person on becoming a member shall pay to the secretary the sum of teh ceutsfc and the sum of ten cents every month thereafter, as dues, all payable monthly, in advance. See. G. The Executive Committee shall have general charge of the work and management of the club', except as hereinbefore provided, .shall arrange programmes for meetings when necessary, appoint subjects for'discussion and designate speakers thereon; They shall arrange for public meetings, when thought proper, and invrte speakers from abroad, when they deem it advisable. Sec. 7. The Clab’ shall meet every alternate Saturday evening, at 8 o’clock beginning June 28th, at the Court House, until otherwise ordered by a majori’y vote of the club. Sec. 8: These by-laws, or any part of them, may be suppressed, amended or added to, at any meeting, by a majority vote of the members present.
