Many circumstances have combined to retard the work of the various committees, appointed some time since, and their work has not been completed in time to admit of the publication of a full programme this week, and we must content ourselves with simply stating tlidt, if the weather permits, Rensselaer will celebrate in good and generous shape, ahd incites all, who will, to edme and take part freely in the heart inspiring exercises of tile day. In. 1 1 WALLACE. the poet-orator of Lafayette, \Hil be the principal orator of the day, while a splendid arfay of local talent will be engaged to fill out the day with a series of exercises of a character to make it pleasant to all, and long to be remembered. The Committee on Music have prepared a splendid repertoire of songs for the occasion, many of them new, and all of them good, while the Esnssek tat Band, one of the best in Northern Indiana, will be present, all day, aud delight the ears of all with their inspiring strains of martial ha»lhony. i m mp®. Of the celebration, will be a competitive PRIZE DRILL given by the K. of P. Drill Corps, the Rensselaer Broom Brigade and the Cane Batallion.
