Highly Honored but Well Dcserved. "
At Indianapolis on Wednesday evening, of last week, a high but well deserved honor was conferred upon one of the most popular and intellectual ladies of Rensselaer. At the Graild Chapter of Indiana of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Mary E. Spitler, of this place, was elected to the position of Grand Matron, the highest position in the order, for the period of o&el year. It is an exalted position and carries with it not only high honor but difficult and onerous duties. That Mrs. Spitler is well deserving of the one and well qualified for the other is n matter of which no one who knows her can doubt.
