Marion Township Convention.
The It Township Nominating Convention was largely attended on Saturday afternoon. An organization was~ effected by the election .of 13. _ F. Ferguson for president and Willian J 3. Austin for secretary. .Three cantlidates for township trustee- were in the field and after a warm contest Elza A. Griswold was nominated on the second ballot. Richard H. Turcupile, William H. Churchill anti William H. Saylor, were nominated for justices of the peace and Ira Alorlau O. C. Dickey and Erasius Peacock for constables. The conventiuii was harmonious in every respect and such a large gathering of the faithful augurs well for the future of the party. More than. 13.0 republican voters were present and took part in the work of the convention.
