Vftlpnratso Menaenger. At the Jasper County Republicap Mass Convention, recently held at Rensselaer, resolutions were unanimously adopted thanking Governor fPorter for the appointment of Hon. Edwin P. Hammond, of Jasper county, as one of the Supreme Judges of the State, and instructing the delegates from Jasper county to the Republican State Convention, to do what they * honorably can do, to. secure the nomination of Judge Hammond, as a candidate, on the Republican State ticket, for Sapreme'Judge from the Fifth District.
