Governor Porter appoin ted Captain Allen Tindolpli, of Vincennes, and Bobert F. Hudson, Terre Haute, as delegates to the Missis sippi Biver Improvement Convention, which meets in Washington, D. C., during next month. Mrs. General Sherman will adopt little Ella Cady, daughter of the late Dr. Cady, of Lafayette, Ind., for whom General Sherman entertained a very high regard.
