He Didn’t Know the Man.

There was a musical entertainment! in the palatial mansion of Col. Duby ( Bigbug. Miss Birdie Bigbug plays the ' piano. She is not much of a player, but her folks think there is nothing more for her to learn. Among the guests was a stranger, who happened to be a musical genius. After Miss Bigbug had pounded the instrument until the house shook to its foundations, a young gentleman asked the stranger what he thought of the young lady’s Paying- , “It surpasses my expectations, he replied. “You don’t say so,” said the delighted veung man. “Yes, I do.
