Ts C- Webster officiating. — A joyful little dance was giyefi at Starr’s Hall. on Tuesday evening. About 21 couples were in attendance, mainly members of the old Q. A. M.,, Club. Kelley and Horton, the dentists, have changed their minds in regard to the rooms they intend removing into, and will, in a short time, take posseSssion of rooms fitted up for their use up stairs in Leopold’s new building. Clark Price, now a law student with Behm and Behm, Lafayette, spent Sunday with Rensselaer friends and New Years with his parents near Remington. Mr. Price reports himself well pleased with his situation with Behm pud Behm. CreaAeby Closed. —We much regret to be compelled to announce that r embarrassments have caused the Rensselaer Creamery to suspend operations, ’For how long a time the suspension will continue we are unable to say, but presume that it will be any very extended period of time. Prof. P. H. Kirscb, principal of th,e Rensselaer public schools? attended the State Teachers Association, at Indianapolis on Thursday and Friday of last week. Himself and Superintendent Nelson, Were Jasper couutiy’s sole representatives at the meeting. The Prof, reports a very interesting and profitable session, and himself as greatly pleased with the work of the association. Mrs. Kirsch’s Entertainment, at the Opera House, Friday evening, '■was attended by the largest house of the sdlson. * The receipts from ‘tickets exceeded seventy dollars. Circumstances prevented our attending the entertainment, b"t all accounts appear to agree in pronouncing it a decided success. A Solid Week.—'-The Opera House was utilized every evening of last week, excepting, of course Sunday evenirft'. The Dramatic Company occupied it on Monday, Tuesday* Wednesday and Thursday evenings. On Friday evening Mrs. Kirsch gave her entertainment there, and roller skating closed up the week on Saturday night f 7 : The Rev. T. C, Webster closed, a seines of eight evening and five day meetings at W atson’s school house, south east of town, last Monday pight. The meetings were attended by crowded houses, and much interest manifested throughout the entire series. Jlr. Webster expects, if his health permits, to begin a protracted meeting at the M. E. church in town this evening. E. A.
