We found the Christmas supplement sent witn The Republican very interesting and valuable aS a reference, The Christmas festivities are over an& done with and quiet once more reigns in our little Tillage. Indeed, there was not much to disturb the usual quiet. There was nothing ot public interest if we expect the little exercises at theM. E. Church, which was simply a little Sunday school entertainment, but it was very pleasant. School will begin on Monday next. The popular principal, C. A. Fa£an, is enjoying a much needed vacation. Tho club of ladies known as “Coftee Klotchen”. were entertained last week by Mrs. M. Solomon. The meetings of the club are .very pleasant and enjoyable. Mrs. H. T. Howard and daughter of Sheldon. 111-, spent Sunday with Mr. aud Mrs. W. Draper. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Black and little daughter, are visitjrfg their friends and relatives in this pjace, their former home. They lodk a 3 though they had renewed their yojityb in the clear, bracing atmosphere of Colorado. A slight unpleasantness in tho M..E. Church has resulted in the withdrawal of two prominent members. We Judge from the last two issues of the News that the anonymous letter writer is getting in some more of its work. We do not know to what gender the siloak belongs, so use the neuter pronoun.
