A Correction.

“Figures wfcn’t lie” is a common enohgh pioverb, but like a great mahy other much used sayings it posseses neither truth nor wisdom. Figures will lie, we know, for we have caught them at it mahy a time. They will also make egregious bjunders, as, for instance, last week, in writing of the case of Wright vs. the L. N. A. & C., wc said that the plaintiff 1 , in bringing Buitj laid his damages at #15,000. The figures 1 and 5 were transpos-j ed and made us say that the plaintiff sued for $51,000. It is but a small error to transpose two types, but it" made a large difference in the amount, in thin instance. Try Chicago Belle Fine-cut, at Kannal’s. . The P.
