The Ladies Aid Society will meet on Friday afternoon of this week, from 2 to 5 o'clock, at Mrs. F, B. Learnings. This Society contemplates a public meeting and entertainment on the evening ol the 12tli day of December, at the Opera House, to which all are invited; and timely notice is hereby given for eveiyKdy togot ready to attend. There was a full house on Sabbath evening to listen to Rev, Small’s lecture on the subject of Martin Luther and the reformation. - The portraits on the postage stamps now in use are as follows: One-cent, Franklin; two-cent, Washington; thceecent, Jackson; five-cent, Garfield; sixcent.
