A Haunted House.
Dark I‘urpors of a haunted house, somewhere in the country a few miles on this side of Remington, have been floating about, for some time, Our Remington correspondent refers to the subj act, this week, in a manner which would indicate that the owner of the place, himself believes in the retillity of a superriatural in his habitation. The last issue of the Remington News has the following to say upon this uncanny subject: Horrible stories were afloatlast week relating to a haunted house on the - farm abdut 4 miles north of town. It is said by some who pretend to have seen the spectral visitor, that it sometimes appeared in form of a bird and at other times in e£ qpe of a human being and comes as frequently in daytime as at night. It is more than likely that this vision Was induced by bad digestion, diseased imagination, or too much, “booze,'’ or all combined. We wish some fellow would corral the “creetur.” .*
