The Ladies Aid Society will meet on Friday afternoon, Nov., 9th, at the residence of the Misses Smith: This society is prflseputing its work with commendtffilp geal. . The weekly prayer meeting wdl hereafter be held on Wednesday afternoon of each week, at 4 o'clock p. m. The congregation has concluded to have a new roof put on the ohuroh, as it is deemed inexpedient to attempt o erect a new building soon. The proprietors of the Fort Wayne, Peoria & Galesburg road have completed the surveys of the line from Ft. Wayne, In<ft, wherp it connects with several trunks lines east, aud thence to ; Fayette, Ohio, vyhich is the terminus of the Canada Southern, to Galesburg, 111., where it connects with the Burlington system and reaches both Chicago and St. Lotfts.-[lndianapolis Journal,
