More Big Vegetables.
Fresh evidences of the marvelous fertility of Jasper county dirt come into The Republican office every day or two. On Monday, C. J. Brown, from a little south of town, brought in the father of all radishes and a fine bunch of artichokes, from a field which produced at the rate of 1000 bushels to the acre; and John L. Robinson, of Hanging Grove; placed on exhibition a cabbage head of mastodonic dftnentions. It is 17 inches in diameter, and weighs, thoroughly trimmed, upwards of 25 pounds. Mr. Robinson says he raised a large number of cabbages nearly or quite as large as this one.
