Soinc Resolutions.

The entire corps of county officers, with the exception of fenrveror Alter, County Commissioner Waymire and the drainage commissioners, met in the recorder’s office Monday adopted the following preamble and resolutions': Whereas, by reason of the expiration of the term for which he was elected. Ezra C. Nowels Esq , retired from the oflice of Auditor on November Ist., 1883, alter four years of faifliful service, therefore be it resolved tty his associates in office: Resolved':—Tlyit during his administration as Auditor, he has been a fiithfill, painstaking public servant, and has perforiped the intricate duties of thaj; honorable and important position, ivith (fidelity to the public and credit to himself...... Res’olved: -That durin? his incumbency ot said office, he has been obliging and courteous to all who have had business to transact with him, irrespection of party affiliations dr conditions in life, and has, through qis strict integrity, close application to the responsible duties of the office, find fine business Qualifications, elevated the office, of Auditor of Jasper County Indiana, to a standard of exeellqpce, now recognized to be equal to that of any office in the State.

Resolved:—That in his retirement from said office, the public looses a popular and efficient officer, who has watched with jealous carp its interests, and his associates in office a firm friend and pleasant companion, who . join with the general public in saying, “well done good and faithful servant”. Resolved: -Yhtt we will ever cherish a kindly remeffiberauce for Mr., Nowels and we that he may be successful in any business undertaking in which he may embark; and we also express the hope that he may “live long too and prosper. Resolved:—That a copy of these resolution be furnished the Rensselaer Republican Democratic Sentinel, and Remington News, fop publication, and a copy of the sajrae be presented to Mr. Nowels.
