DOWNING THE DEMAGOGUES!

The Party of Progress once more Triumphant! Thetidal wave has spent its force, and the party of justice,, intelligence, common sense and common honesty, has again triumphed- In Massachusetts, after the most exciting election ever known in that state, Butler, the arch devil of demagogism, is defeated by 25,000 majority. New York is partially reclaimed, by the election of a republican legislature, and, probably, the Secretary of State. Pennsylvania returns to the republican ranks, and Minnesota is, of course, still faithful.
