The Yearly Meeting.
The Northern Indiana Year!}' Meeting of. the free Will Baptist church J: assembled in the chtfreh, at .Rensselaer, Sept. 20th. Tho meeting opened with a good interest. The arrival of delegates and ministers from the other Quarterly meetings, encouraged the brethren here, and all enteredinto the meeting with earnest hearts. .The.ineetings'-were all well attended,, sliowieg the regard the people entertain for the church. Eiders ilcndar and Vaughn, of the Lagrrnge Quarterly Meeting, being present, added much to Ike-interest of the meetings by their timely- counselttnd clieuringwords. The sermons-vvith w hich tlwy favored us. on Friday evening and Sabbath, were: of a high character, and such as will do us all good to remember; ..The social meeting, on Saturday afternoon, was one of tho best that the' writer has- ever foeen permitted to attend- Our hearts were made glad when we saw, the in-terest-manifested and heard: the warm expressions of love that came from the Christian brothers and sisters there as.-cmbled. But while our hearts were made glad in meeting earnest Christians, we Were sad to know that the church was desti- ; ide of a pastor; notwithstanding-' this, the unity and true Christian love of the they are of the right kind,-and in their hands wc feel time the church is safe. We regret tha they have not a church-house of their own in which to meet,- and wo fuel ‘td return than ks tothcPr ;■ sby torian brethren for their kindness in allowing us to meet in their house of worship. Hopeing that the meeting has proved a blessing to you, we remain, Yours, in Christ, • -
