Presbyterian Church Notes!

Ladies Aid Society will meet on Friday of this week, at the residence of Misses Smith from 2 to 5 o'clock p, m. Prayer meeting after this week, will be held on Saturday evenings until lurtner notice. Rev. Gilbert SiuaU will preach in the Presbyterian church on the sth Sabbath of September, and also hold services every evening during that week, to be followed by a communion service on the first Sabbath of October. Services will commence on Saturday evening, ffitli. All are cordially invited to attend. On Tuesday of last week, at about two o’clock in the morning, three burglars entered the grocery store of W. G, Windle, in Valparaiso, and broke open his large safe andabstracted 61 cash and 82.000 in notes and securities. One night policeman saw thorn at work on the safe and went in to inquire what they were doing, and wa’s quietly covered with two revolvers and held a prisoner until the- robbery was completed. Another officer saw their light and went after' the sheriff to help him, but before he got back‘the thieves had departed, with, their spoils and his valiant brother officer had been released from custody.
