We boasted ourselves too previously, last week, in the article headed: “The . way of the law,” when we stated that we had discovered evidence of monumental cheekiness on the part of certain of the plaintiff s lawyers in the case of Phillips vs. Atkinson. The Benton county gentlemen who filed the lein upon the judgement'they had just secured, write to us, and we doubt not, truly, that it was understood and arranged beforehand, with their client, that they should file the lein upon the judgement, whatever its amount might be, for the purpose, as we venture to .suppose, of heading off any other of the plaintiff’s creditors who might be watching a chance to do the same thing.
We manufacture Buggies, and also sell those of other manufacturers. Roberts Bros. Learning sells more perfumery than any other house in the county. Why ? Because he keeps Florentine, the best in the world. Cows Killed.—Last Sunday, at about six o’clock in the evening, a stray locomotive was tearing - down the track, and at the first cattle guard north of the town struck two fine cqws belonging to Mr. John Coen. One of the cows was killed outright, and the legs of the other broken so that she had to be killed. As the millinery season is about to close, Hemphill' & Honan are determined not to carry over any stock, therefore they offer their entire fine of Summer Millinery at prices that will defy opposition.
