Excursion Rates. —The L. N-A Ihp. R. B. will sell Round Trip Wkets from all stations, to all stations, on July 3rd. and 4th., good returning until July sth. at rate of Two Cents per. mile for intire distance traveled.

Sunday School Election. — The annual election of officers for the M. E. Sunday school was held last Sunday afternoon. R. P. Benjamin was chosen Superintendent; T. J. Farden, Assistant Superintendent, EH a Rhoades, Secretary and Ezra L. Clark, Treasurer. Services will be held at the Presbyterian church next Sunday, at 10/30 a. m., by the Rev. B. F. Ferguson, the Free Will Baptist pastor. Immediatly after services the ordinance of baptism will be administered to several candidates. Services in the evening also at 8 o’clock, conducted by Mr. Ferguson.

The newly established lodge of the Ancient Order of United Workmen is in a very flourishing condition. The membership now numbers twenty, with sure prospects for a number of accessions in the immediate future. A special dispensation has just been received, from the grand lodge of the state, extending for an additional thirty days the time during which new members can be received as charter members and at reduced initiation fees.
