FROM HANGING GROVE.

A very heavy rain last Sunday afternoon. Most everybody has quit planting corn. Corn looks well. Harvesting will be a little backward this season. Mr. Henry Randle has just erected a new wind pump, he has also put up a new yard fence, which adds greatly to the looks of his premisis.

Mr. Louis Jacks and Mr. Andrew Burk are on the sick list. Died. —Mrs. Ids Moody, wife of Charles Moody, died at her fathers residence (Mr. Addison Paikinsoo) last Sabbath. She has been very weakly for the past year. The young folks of Hanging Grove had one of the best surprise dances they ■ever attended, at Mr. Kelley’s last Saturday night Mr. John English and Mr. Kelley played the violins and Mr. David Rayder t the piano for the occasion. The attendance was large.
