JASPERITES IN VALPARAISO.
Editor Republican:— Believing that a few items from Valparaiso concerning the Normal and the whereabouts, of the “Jasperites” at this place we venture the following: We can not give the exact number of students attending the normal, but we would be safe in putting it down at between 1300 and 1400. |M. A. Makeever is making a specality of penmanship during the present, and we are glad to say he is progressing finely. William Churchill, of Marion township, and J. F. Brown are in the Junior class of the Commercial department. Mr.T. B. Banta, is in the department of Elocution and oratory. Sant. Makeever, arrived here on the 4th, inst. David W. Shields, and T. C. Churchhill, arc rooming at the Stiles Block.
