Beyond the Limits.
Some darkies started a faro bank in a Kentucky town a short tune ago, and no one was allowed to bet over ten cents at a time. A man from Allan county was in to see what he could see, and in his rambles came upon the darkey faro bank. He pulled out a five dollar bill, bought its worth in chips, and put them on the jack. The dealer was busy, and at first did no* see the big pile of chips and commenced dealing. He all at once looked up, saw Allan county’s pile, and inquired: “Who’s dat got pecamed on dat pack?” Allan county, not knowing the rules of the game, very sternly remarked, “That’s mine.” The dealer glanced at him a moment and replied: “Pull her down from dar; you must •tink.Rosohillee am playing dis game.” ,4 A stove made in 1828 in York, Pa., was recently sold for 81,000.
