FROM HANGING GROVE.
Health as a general thing is very poor all over the township, but mostly caused by measles. The northern half of the Parker bridge across the Pinkamink has been taken away by the ice forming a gorge above the bridge. Mrs. Melissa Morgan of Kansas is visiting her father, William E. Moore of Hanging Grove. She reports health good and business flourishing in Kansas. , Mr. Charley Lefler and Miss Etta Lefler will start for Madison county in a few days, where they will spend two or three weeks during sugar making. Mr. Andrew J. Knight started for the prairie last Monday morning to farm, what a long summer this will be to Miss B. W. Mrs. Lucy R&ssell is talking of spending the summer in Tenessee, on account of her health. The Smith and Lefler schools will begin the first of April. Miss Bell Smith will teach the former and Miss Mollie Bouk the latter. Seed corn is quite an object this spring as the corn was by cold weather last fall.
