Railroad Items.

Latest from the Aib Line :-The Indianapolis Journal of Tuesday makes the statement, apparently authentic, that the L. N-A. & C. road will put regular trains upon the Air Line, Monday, March 26. The forenoon train from Chicago was about two hours late, Saturday, having been detained by a wrecked L. N-A. & C., freight train, at the Grand Trunk crossing. On a recent trip over the Louis ville, New Albany and Chicago Ry., we were particularly pleased to notice the courtesy of the conductors and breaksmen toward the traveling public. It is indeed a pleasure to travel over such roads. —“Oxford Tribune.” It is expected that the C. & I. Air Line branch of the L. N-A. & 0., will be in order for running trains in a short time It is the intention of the L. N-A. & C. Management to get the Air Line into first class snaps' before it is attempted to operate it. The change of timp of the evening train from Chicago will be great improvement, as, by the new arrangement Rensselaer people visiting Chicago will be able to return home the same day, in good season, and not come yawning in at the unholy hour of 2:30 in the morning, or something about as uncanny.
