Weather gloomy this week. Teuchers all seem to he enjoying themselves highly daring vacation. Every body enjoyed the Christmas tree at Independence Chapel on Monday night. And the hearts of many youths were made glad by the gifts “Santa” bestowed. liegardiess of the dreary night, the no use was well filled* During the past week there has been three weddings in Gillam. Elias Brewer to Miss Mattie Falkner. Mr. Star of Bamington to Miss Ida Kicolson. George Houser of Barkley Tp. to Miss Wally itandall. Among the guests present at Mr. & Mrs. li’s wedding were Mr Will Hanley and wife, dohn G. Culp anti fuuiily of Barkley and Watt Smith, and wife of Star City. The happy co uple sfca rted East on a bridal tour.. May their life b long and happy. Misses Mattie and Aaua And arson of Morocco are spending Holidays with their ninny friemU in taia locality. Albert Parker of Duporte Co. was in Gillaiu Sunday. K. L. P. Massey will not be to late tor “hash” now, as he was the happy recipient of a —-’dump watcii from the Christmas tree. O! that ring!
